ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of projects delivered in the APAC territory, leading project-level reviews, optimizing standards, identifying areas for improvement, reporting analyses, and training staff members.
The portfolio manager should not only be comfortable talking with high-level business leaders about the client aligned portfolio, but also help define KPIs and create a roadmaps to support the development of the delivered portfolio aligning with the standards defined within the enterprise programs.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Gathering metrics and data to visualize the portfolio performance and project health.
- Support in project communications to senior stakeholders and resource escalations for technicians, engineering, CAD and Programming
- Coordinate and run client update meetings on the portfolio of inflight projects and act as a central point of contact in the event of query or escalation
- Work with the global program managers to provide data and insight into the projects being delivered and support them in the governance of deliverables
- Act as a governance point for the relevant stage boundaries for the inflight projects and ensure that projects entering and exiting the portfolio are transitioned correctly.
- Contribute to the establishment of common practices, tools, and templates for portfolio and project management, and ensure adherence to company and legal standards
- Support in wider development of delivery capabilities and oversight of third parties
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a portfolio manager in a client facing technology sector, delivering complex & demanding projects
- Experience with audio/video systems, Enterprise Voice or Unified Communications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Supervisory and people skills.
- The Portfolio Manager shall have the ability and skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political and people related problems.
- Great people leadership skills are required.
- Strong financial background in project cost accounting is required, along with the ability to consolidate across different projects/countries/client’s
DESIRABLE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- A recognized Project/Portfolio Management Qualification (PMI, Prince 2 Practitioner etc.)
- AVIXA CTS certification
- Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position.
