Our client is a longstanding specialist financial performance management consultancy and solution provider based in central London. With many years experience of IBM's Planning Analytics and related tools, they are now expanding their product range with the rapidly growing Vena Solutions software.
Role Description
To support their expansion, our client are looking for a new business sales account executive from a financial performance management background who can prospect and identify opportunities them progress them through the full sales cycle to closure.
You must be comfortable working as part of a small team including the pre-sales consultants and be capable of liaising with and managing our outsourced marketing resources, software vendors and other external resources.
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Business Development Director your role will be responsible for a range of sales activities including:
- Working with the outsourced marketing team to plan and managing marketing campaigns
- Liaising with their software suppliers on campaigns and opportunities
- Following up contacts and developing sales leads
- Arranging discovery meetings and demonstrations (in conjunction with the pre-sales consultants team)
- Preparing proposals and quotations - with the assistance of the Business Development and Services Directors
- Negotiating and agreeing contracts
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience of a new business sales role in the Financial Performance Management software sector, selling to medium and large organisations
- Experience of the full sales cycle from prospecting through to meetings, demonstrations negotiation and closing
- Excellent language skills and the ability to write clearly and succinctly
- Good verbal skills and a confident telephone manner
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with senior financial management prospects
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems
Desirable Skills and Experience
- A university degree in a relevant subject
