Role Description
Our client is seeking a proactive and highly organised Business Development Executive to join their UK team. This is a commercially focused, office-based role designed to support business growth through structured lead management, CRM ownership, market research and international sales support. The role sits within the Sales function, working closely with both Sales and Marketing teams to ensure opportunities are effectively captured, tracked and progressed. A key element of the role includes supporting the Asia-Pacific sales region, providing continuity and responsiveness when external sales personnel are travelling.
The role has three core focus areas:
Business Development & CRM ownership
Exhibition & event support
Inside Sales support for APAC

Role Responsibilities
Capture, assign and monitor incoming leads, ensuring timely follow-up
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records (NetSuite or similar)
Track sample requests and manage follow-up activity through to conversion
Conduct market research and build targeted prospect lists to support sales growth
Identify new opportunities within similar organisations and market segments
Provide regular reporting on lead activity, pipeline progress and sales support metrics
Assist with the planning, organisation and follow-up of UK exhibitions (approx. 3 per year)
Upload and manage exhibition leads within the CRM, ensuring actions are completed
Provide inside sales support to the Asia-Pacific region, including handling enquiries and preparing quotations
Liaise with internal technical and customer service teams to ensure seamless customer support across time zones
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in Business Development, Inside Sales or Sales Support
Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, NetSuite or similar)
Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Experience conducting industry research and building prospect lists
Ability to track and manage opportunities within a CRM
Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
Proactive, self-motivated and commercially aware
Comfortable holding sales teams accountable for follow-up actions
Strong IT skills
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience within manufacturing or technical product environments
Experience supporting international sales teams (APAC advantageous)
Experience organising exhibitions or trade shows
